Launched the station and tug/ engine module on one lifter, assembled the pieces, then sent up the crew on a second rocket.

So I’ve been playing !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! (basically Kerbal for Android) for a month or two now, managed to do the obvious: launch a satellite, orbit a manned capsule, put probes around all the reachable planets. I managed to get landers onto the inner planets, the moon, Mars, even two of Jupiter’ s moons, but the one thing I was having issues with was docking spaceships in orbit. Today I finally got a manned capsule to a space station!

Kinja'd!!!

My space station, with three sats in lower orbits.

If you’re interested, the game is available for Android, iOS, PC and Mac. For mobile versions, I do recommend springing for the expansion packs, they add some needed options for only a few bucks.

Now, time for me to start working on Discovery One...

Yeah, but can you dock a grain silo with a space station?

Not as such, not without adding a fairing, or turning off aerodynamics...

But, can you LAND a Butler Bin on a grain silo... floating on a fish farm bobbing in the waves?

I always sort of wonder, with the modern silicon 3-axis accelerometers and Raspberry Pi versions, if self-landing isn’t a “high school shop class” grade project these days?

Software and sensors have come a long, long way.

Say what you want, that guy has given us some epic high-res, slo-mo explosion video clips.

How well does it play on mobile? I’d love something I could take with me.

Been playing Kerbal on the PS4 since the start of working from home. Rendezvous and docking is tough on that as well. Ended up having to watch some vids to figure it out.

Haha, fun game. Definitely sunk a number of hours into it. As it turns out, you can only make about 5km worth of connected capsules before the game freezes up.

I play on a slightly dated S amsung Tab A, and it's pretty smooth. Dunno that I'd play on a smaller screen though, too easy to miss things.
